the codex
in warbirds, the codex serves as our governing document. it is our rulebook, our handbook, and our guide.
the codex is a living, breathing document. it is continuously updated to ensure it is benefiting all warbirds equally.
the codex is what binds warbirds together, it provides clarity and guidance to leaders, while shielding officers and members from unjust actions.
the codex was envisioned as a document that while maintained by officers, is in truth a shield for members, it protects them from corruption, it shields them from unjust requests, and it provides clarity for all who have questions on how to proceed with decisions in warbirds.

the codex itself can be revised in a few different ways...
method 1: the codex may be revised by an officer proposing a change to it, with the leadership council and executive leadership council each having an opportunity to vote on the proposed change.
method 2: the codex may be revised by a group of members proposing a change to it, with the leadership council and executive leadership council each having an opportunity to vote on the proposed change.
method 3: through two-thirds majority vote of warbirds members, the codex may be changed or revised without officer intervention.
method 4: if the leadership council, or the executive leadership council votes against a change, the opposite council may bring the change up for a group vote among all members, if this is done, a two-thirds majority may vote in favor of making the change or revision.
